What are the different weights for flatware?

Restaurant flatware comes in four different weights: forged, extra-heavy, heavy, and medium weight. The weight refers to the type and quality of the stainless steel and does not necessarily correspond to the heft of an item.

Forged flatware is the thickest and strongest as it's made from a single piece of thick stainless steel and is extremely durable to withstand any commercial environment.

Stay away from these forks. They have metal balls stuck between the prongs that can fall off into food. We have had several of them do that which is very dangerous. We have brought this to the attention to Webstaurant now several times. They also get boxed up in bulk and just dumped into a box.

Do no order these forks! We have had them come with metal balls between the fork prongs!!! It's a huge health and safety concerns for our customers.

Impossible to beat for the price! Our members are constantly stealing or throwing away our silverware so these are a life saver. The one drawback is an occasional steel ball leftover from the manufacture process, but you just have to keep an eye out.

You can not beat these forks for the price you pay and as always the shipping is super fast. Unfortunately a lot of our forks get thrown away in the rush of things so i know i can order and they will be delivered very quick.
