Details

Supply your cafe, bistro, or deli with the mature taste of this Castello 7 oz. aged gouda. This gouda cheese has been aged for 18 months, resulting in a rich, savory taste with a semi-firm texture. Great for melting, use this cheese to artfully craft mouthwatering sandwiches, like a ham and gouda grilled cheese sandwich, or a delicious bacon, egg, and gouda sandwich for your breakfast crowd. Or, use this cheese to build a five-star charcuterie board along with grilled french bread or butter crackers, roasted almonds, grapes, d'anjou pears, and speck or sausage. To complement and harmonize the flavors, this gouda is best paired with beer, or full-bodied wines like merlot and shiraz.

Gouda is a type of hard cheese named after the city in Holland where it was originally sold. Despite being one of the world's oldest cheeses, it continues to reign as one of the most popular, making it a great option to have on your menu! This gouda cheese is produced from the rBST-free milk of cows that graze in the Dutch polder to provide a noticeably fresh taste. Plus, this 7 oz. cheese wheel comes sealed in durable red wax to further lock in its freshness. Rich in salts and minerals from its aging process, your patrons are sure to appreciate its mature taste and the level of sophistication that it will bring to their foods.

Castello cheese has been one of Arla Foods' top 3 major brands since 2006. However, it dates back to 1893 with master cheese-maker Rasmus Tholstrup and Castello's passion for discovery and innovation, while staying true to their traditions with the art of cheese making. The fifth-largest dairy company in the world, Arla Foods is a cooperative owned by more than 12,500 dairy farmers. Arla combines traditional craftsmanship with modern, world-class technology to craft quality products made with natural ingredients using environmentally sustainable methods. Committed to high standards of animal welfare, product quality, and food safety, they control their milk's journey from cows to consumers, so you can feel comfortable that you're serving the best possible products to your customers.

Ships fast, and good price. Wish there was a way for less packaging. I guess it's hard when it's perishable, but it's a bit overkill sometimes.
