I purchased these awesome 8.5" stainless steel 5/8" diameter straws to use in my milk shakes and fruit smoothies. The larger diameter is great so thick purees can pass through it, and what's also nice is that that the edges are soft, so no worries about cutting yourself on the end. They are easily washable with a straw brush, and can be sanitized in the dishwasher.
