I haven’t heard of R-290, R-600a, R-513a, or R-448A refrigerant before. What is it?
R-290 (also known as high purity propane or CARE 40) and R-600a (also known as refrigerant grade Isobutane or CARE 10) are hydrocarbon refrigerants. R513a (also known as Opteon XP10) and R-448A (also known as Solstice N40) are HFO (hydrofluoroolefin) refrigerants. They are being used as an eco-friendly refrigerant by some manufacturers in response to the EPA’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) Program. Can this unit be built into cabinetry?
It should not be built into cabinetry. This unit requires 3” of clearance on all sides for proper ventilation.
What if my Avantco cooler doesn’t seem to be getting cold enough throughout the cabinet?
Make sure that you are loading it properly, and not overloading it. This unit is designed for cans, bottles, and similar items that naturally enable good airflow within the cabinet. Overloading the cooler with cases and boxes will interrupt the airflow and negatively impact the unit’s performance.
Can I install this unit directly on the floor without casters?
Because of the location of the compressor, this unit must be installed on the included casters.
Does Avantco warrant this item for use in a food truck?
Avantco warrants new equipment sold to food truck customers to be operational for a period of 30 days from the date of delivery if installed and maintained correctly.

Sliding doors are a great choice when dealing with limited space because they need minimum clearance to open. Swinging doors, meanwhile, can be locked to deliver added peace of mind. Avantco back bar coolers come with a black or stainless steel exterior and a galvanized or stainless steel top for extra work space. The interior features coved corners and is made of corrosion-resistant type three oh four stainless steel. This simplifies cleaning and permits food rated storage of olives and other garnishes.  Each cooler comes with adjustable shelves and LED lighting to make organizing and identifying product a breeze. These models run on eco-friendly R-two ninety refrigerant and use a digital controller with automatic defrost. Here's some basic settings you can make to your Avantco refrigerator in your restaurant. If you want to adjust the temperature, you hold set for one second and you'll see your low temperature limit. This unit is set to shut off at 33 degrees. If you want to have it shut off at a warmer temperature you can adjust it up. But it will not go below 33. You see when I get to 33 it just cycles back up to the top of the temperature range. Take this unit back down to 33 degrees. Press set to save it and you're back to your home screen.
