Constructed from stainless steel, this unit is designed to live up to your commercial kitchen needs. The sides of the unit each have a built in handle for easy transportation. Plus, four support legs each with non-slip feet will ensure there is no unwanted sliding during operation.
The baskets sit in a removable 1 gallon / 4 liter water tank that is incredibly easy to clean!
You can also add versatility with the removable cutout lid to transition into rectangle baskets (sold separately).
A simple thermostatic knob controls the temperature of the heating element up to 230 degrees Fahrenheit and will prevent water from getting too hot or not hot enough with the help of its red indicator light. This pasta cooker requires a 120V electrical connection for operation.

I can`t believe that something that is sold as a pasta cooker, equal to boiling water and salt, it actually rusted after 2 month of very light use; to the point of becoming a leaking mess, yes the rust perforated the so called stainless steel and make it impossible to use it.

I purchased this Avantco PC101 pasta cooker for use in my restaurant. Unfortunately, the pasta strainer baskets started rusting after only one week of use. This is very disappointing for commercial kitchen equipment that is supposed to be used with boiling water and food. I am concerned about the quality and durability of the baskets. I would like the manufacturer or seller to provide higher-quality stainless steel replacement baskets that will not rust under normal use. I cannot recommend this product until this issue is resolved.

Gets the job done but needs a little recovery time
they last about a year - we always have an extra unit on hand as the right / left side can be replace seperatly so you can get your max usage out of each and you can just drop a new part in from the back up unit. do they burn out fast sure but they not expensive so you get what you pay for and other options are much much much more expensive imo

Honestly too small and takes too long. Found it easier to just put a pot on the griddle and boil the water and prep. Also the cleanup it a bit of a hassle compared to the output.

Additionally, if you have hard water this can be harsh on stainless steel and require more care. This is great for pasta we also use it for poached eggs!

We have had this unit for exactly 1 year now and we are more than pleased. Not a single issue although we need to replace 2 of our baskets as they are starting to get openings. And that is why I came here as I am looking for replacement baskets. We are a very busy restaurant and these baskets get a great deal of use.
