Avantco 60" Stainless Steel Refrigerated Salad Bar / Cold Food Table with Sneeze Guard, Pan Cover, and Tray Slide

So the salad bar works ok, however there are several issues that haven't been resolved since we purchased new. There is a finish product issue, meaning that one edge of the metal is sharp, so we had a customer and employee cut themselves. Also, this food table leaks water. I believe from the humidity, but we keep our room temp between 70 - 75. I would expect a designated bin to discharge water vs. letting it go to the floor. I have inquired about this but haven't received a reply. The warranty company has never replied to my issue, so be mindful when purchasing that. Other then this, the bar looks nice and it's easy to keep clean...

We’ve purchased many Avantco products over the years, but this unit has been by far the most disappointing. It’s marketed as an open-top cold food table, yet it only keeps food at a safe temperature when the flimsy lid is on. Even when set to 33°F and given over 12 hours to stabilize with pre-chilled food, it holds around 37°F internally and exceeds 40°F in the top well, which is not acceptable for safe food holding. The build quality is also far below expectations. There were jagged edges, unfinished welds, and one of the doors was not properly installed and fell off upon opening the box. While Webstaurant typically provides excellent customer service, that has not been our experience with this issue. We’ve been told to use a third-party warranty provider and are still waiting for a response from them. We custom-cut our countertops to fit this unit, which makes this situation even more frustrating, as we’re now stuck with equipment that does not perform as it should.

Works perfectly. Well built. Maintains appropriate temperature. Better than expected!
