These glasses have a great modern design with a nice very heavy base. They seem to be sturdy and we've had no issues with them while in use, however in the 2 cases we ordered 3 total glasses were broken during shipment. Webstaurant was great to work with and refunded us for the broken glasses.

What is tempered glassware?
Tempering is a heat treatment process where glass is heated and then cooled under high pressure air. This process produces glass that is many times stronger than typical annealed glass. To produce fully tempered glass, the entire piece of glassware goes through this process. To produce rim tempered glass, only the rim portion of the glassware piece is treated.

I have the slightly smaller ones of these and chose to also get these. I plan to use the smaller ones for water glasses and these for soft drinks. I'd planned to have a dozen of each but one of these arrived broken. The hipping seemed fine but nonetheless. The box rattled when I picked it up which isn't a good sign when there's a "fragile" sticker on the outside. There were bits of glass in the compartments of the others but thankfully none of those were damaged. I'll now have to get another set to have one dozen of each. I guess I'll have eleven extra, that is unless any of those arrive damaged. The hassle of a return isn't worth it. The delivery people just leave the packages. There are outer boxes and I doubt they'd stay around while I opened and went through everything. Their other customers waiting for their own packages would likely be upset if they did. The ones that weren't broken are nice.
