#10 Can Tomato Paste - 6/Case

Did not get contaDina tomato paste got chef Johns and I believe you will too. READ THE FINE PRINT under the picture . They can send anything. 1 star isn't low enough. They are lower than that

I ordered tomato paste; the can says tomato paste on the label. What is in the 6 cans is tomato sauce! I cannot use tomato sauce I need tomato paste! Very disappointed in this order. I wanted tomato paste to thicken our canned pizza sauce. This is worthless to me.

Tomato paste is a must have. It is always used fast and great to order in a bigger sized case. Easy for longer term storage.

Too watery almost like puree. TASTE OK BUT RUIN MY RECIEPE BECAUSE IT WAS TOO RUNNY. I WILL NOT BUY AGAIN I GUESS YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. CANS DENTED.

While Contadina is probably the best paste around THIS AINT IT, at least not always, I guess. I got some off brand that has the sloshy consistency and taste of cheap sauce, not paste! You can't put the photo of a Mercedes and ship someone a Chevy, despite putting a fine print (so often missed) "brands may vary!" … just make different listings for different brands FOR CRYING OUT loud! Contadina should here about this...

#10 Cans of Contadina sometimes hard to find here in Colorado. It is the only paste I use for my BBQ Sauce Business. In this case I ordered 2 cases expecting to receive Contadina and at a reasonable price as well. I did not however receive what i thought I ordered. instead i got "Port Royal California fancy tomato paste" This does not work for my recipe. I talked to customer service and there are no returns on consumable items after shipping, (which as you can expect, was a much as the product its self.) I am writing this so people will know that in the bottom of the picture there is a small note that says "Brand May Vary" If you want Contadina i recommend checking with Websturant before you order so you know what you are getting.

such a large amount of tomato paste! it takes forever to go through, but that just makes it that much more of a deal. it tastes great and works in lots of different applications. i use it all the time.

This contadina is very tasty and good for making our jollof rice.. That's why i am ordering more.. To make my meal tasty and delicious

Great quality tomato paste. It rich tangy and sweet enough that it does not make my dishes taste acidic where as in some other brand i would have to add sugar to balance things off

Contadina makes the best tomato paste! Just check out the ingredients list: tomatoes. That's it. No additives, no citric acid to give it a weird off taste. I have been eating and cooking with Contadina tomato paste since I was a kid. I used to purchase in 18 oz cans, but can no longer find this size. So now I buy the #10 cans, and Webstaurant has the best prices, if you can combine with other items to spread out the shipping costs. I portion out the #10 can and freeze in 1 cup increments. Perfect for home use. I also add to plum tomatoes when I cook them for canning in the fall to have a head start on sauce recipes all winter long. You won't regret buying this item. It's a great deal on an excellent product.

I use tomato paste either to give quick-cooked dishes a long-simmered flavor or as a thickener. While making tomato sauce, its supposed to serve both purposes. This paste delivered on flavor, but was the thinnest tomato paste I’ve ever seen, very soft - almost runny - in the can and offered almost zero thickening in the pot. Once the flavor was right, it took an extra hour of reducing to get to the proper consistency. I didn’t need the whole can, for this batch, so I froze the remainder in small scoops. Make sure your pan has sides and/or is COMPLETELY level or it will spill all over your freezer.

A nice large can of tomato paste that is great for making lasagna. The tomato paste is a great quality and a very good price.

a very good tomato paste at an excellent price!! being a homemaker, when i open a can i'll portion the tomato paste, wrap, then freeze. it's really easy to just pull out the amount i need, thaw in the refrigerator overnight, and then use.

great for adding to sauces and soups that need a rich, deep umami flavor, this tomato paste is a great deal for when you use it in large quantities. it is a large amount but the price is great for what you get

I love tomato paste and this one is no exception. I substitute some of the tomato sauce in a recipe with paste. It gives it better texture and taste. This is also good in beans to give it a chili like taste and in soups as a tomato broth.

This is a thick quality paste at a great price. Shipping costs usually dictate whether I buy this or not. Sometimes I can add it to an order for only a couple bucks shipping. we use it to make a lasagna that doesn't slide so much.

Good value, but not as concentrated as some brands. The cans often arrive dented. The sauce is not too salty or sweet, a good basic to have on hand.

has an off flavor that isnt like regular tomato paste, it gives a weird taste to soups and stuff that you have to try and hide

Tomato paste is great for thickening tomato based sauces! It is good for adding body to a stock when you roast bones smothered in tomato paste!!

I love using tomato paste to help intensify the tomato flavor and it even helps to thicken sauces for pasta and pizzas. This tomato paste is also a great price.

I have been ordering the San Benito brand tomato paste from the Webstaurant store, but the last time I ordered they were not offering it, and I took a chance on this similarly priced Tomato Paste. I was pleasently surprised to find that it is far superior to the San Benito, with less water content, and a smooth fluffy texture that is consistent through out the whole #10 can without the water pockets that existed with the San Benito. I was worried the Tomato Paste it would be an inferior product to the San Benito, but I am pleased to today be ordering it again. I highly recommend over the San Benito that is similarly priced.
