Stop galvanic corrosion from destroying your pipes by introducing this Zurn Elkay 114-DUXLC 1 1/4" iron / copper dielectric union pipe fitting. When different metals are connected throughout a plumbing system, it can cause an electrolytic reaction that can corrode the pipe's metal. The dielectric union can prevent the corrosion by natural electric flow created between dissimilar metals.

It is designed to be used for potable water lines. The body and nut are made with a galvanized coated steel, and the insulator material is nylon. Both the inlet and outlet size are 1 1/4".
