Watts 0066605 Details
This Watts 2.1 gallon pressurized expansion tank is designed to absorb the increased volume of water created when water is heated. This tank helps ensure the system pressure is maintained below the relief setting of the relief valve. Featuring a durable expansion membrane, this tank prevents contact of the water with the air in the tank. It has a rugged, flexible butyl diaphragm to minimize the loss of the air change and ensure a long and trouble-free life for the system.
This expansion tank is pre-charged at 12 PSI, and it has a durable carbon steel outer shell with an epoxy finish. The ETX model mounts to supply piping. It's also compatible with glycol in systems and has a 1/2" male NPT system connection and a standard tire valve connection to facilitate the on-site charging of the tank. It has a maximum working temperature of 220 degrees Fahrenheit with a maximum working pressure of 75 PSI. It's not for use on potable water systems.
