The purpose of this video is to show the interface screen navigation for the Deluxe Control used in the Alto-Shaam Vector H ovens and to provide a brief description of the screen functions. We’ll be using a 3 chamber over in this video.

You can select from 1 of 4 home screen options in the “settings” menu. In this video, we are set to the “manual cooking” screen. The “menu” icon, also called the “hamburger” icon, is used to access the home screen. The “light” icon is used to turn the cavity lights on and off manually. The “lock” icon allows you to lock the screen from any accidental touches. This is especially useful when cleaning the screen. To lock the screen, press the “lock” button, and to unlock, touch and hold the center “lock” icon and swipe either up or down.

The “recipe book” is used to view, edit, and create recipes. Please refer to the manual for more information on this subject. The “chef hat”, or “manual cook” icon, takes you to “manual cooking” mode. When this mode is used, the operator must select the temperature, cook time, and fan speed parameters for each oven chamber. The “return” icon is found in the top right corner. Touching the “preheat” icon starts all chambers and heats them to their predetermined temperature set points. These set points can be changed in the “settings” screen. The “cool down” icon allows the operator to manually put the oven into “cool down” mode. The display will instruct the operator to open the door, then the convection fan blowers begin to help cool down the oven. Now that we’ve reviewed the home screen icons, we’ll select our “menu” icon to view more options.

The “manual cook” icon, like the “chef hat” icon, takes the operator to the main manual cooking screen. “My recipe library” provides access to the recipes for viewing, creation, or editing of existing recipes. The “my menus library” icon is used to see recipes that may be grouped together to create a menu item. “HAACP data” allows the operator to view the oven’s usage data. HAACP will show what was cooked, when, and using which cook mode. You can also see cook temperature and fan speed parameters. The HAACP can be searched through the calendar feature and downloaded to a USB drive for viewing archiving.

The “service” icon is used only by a trained Alto-Shaam service provider. The service screen is password protected and once accessed, the technician has the ability to test components and monitor oven performance. Entering “general settings” allows the operator to view, edit, or change oven parameters. Some setting include language, date, and time, oven sounds and alert, chamber preheat temperatures, and more. The “settings” screen also allows the operator to set up the oven’s internet connection. Selecting the “help” icon displays the Alto-Shaam service department’s contact information. The “information page” icon provides the oven’s model, serial number, current software versions, and network connectivity status.

Now we’ll take a closer look at the oven’s service screen and features. To access this icon, enter the password “6702”. The general device information screen will display. Multiple parameters are viewable in this screen, including the current oven voltage, line frequency, circuit board temperatures, pulse voltage, and more. The “cooling fan line” displays the axial cooling fan’s power status, either on or off. The “cooling fan” slider bar is used to either test or turn the cooling fans on or off. The “oven report” provides details on the oven’s cleaning needs.

Touch “chamber 1” to expand the list to active components, such as convection fan, heater, and individual chamber light. Repeat this process with the other chambers. Touch “chamber 1 report”. This displays the life expectancy of the convection fan, heater, and light. “Door status” shows the current status of the door switch, open or closed. “RGB light” turns the door handle light on or off. “RGB color” allows the operator to select from a list of colors for the handle. Finally, the “dim” feature adjusts the brightness of the chamber lights.
