The top-opening safe fits easily into most cabinet drawers, making it perfect for storing important documents and other items around the home or in the office. This safe can store up to thirty different fingerprints and is very easy to program. First, you must locate the battery compartment inside the safe's door. Remove the battery cover and insert four AA batteries. The safe is now ready to program.
To register a fingerprint, locate the red button on the inside of the safe's door, then press and release the button. Immediately place your fingerprint on the scanner and you will hear one short beep and two long beeps. Your fingerprint is now recorded. To add additional fingerprints, just repeat the programming process.
To open the safe with your fingerprint, press the wake-up button one time. You will hear a beep and the scanner will turn red. Place your fingerprint on the scanner and the safe will open. To close the safe, simply press the wake-up button again when the door is closed and the safe will lock.
The safe also comes with two backup keys. To use the backup keys, you must first remove the Barska faceplate with the included Allen wrench. Insert and turn the key, and the safe will open manually.
The bottom of the safe is lined with carpet to protect valuable items. It also features two motorized steel locking bolts for extra protection. This top-opening safe features four mounting points on the bottom, making it ideal to secure directly to a drawer. it also comes with hardware necessary to secure it.
