Your P400EST must be wired and connected to a water source before operating. First turn on the water on and then the electric supply. The brewer will now begin to fill. Once full, the brewer takes 15 to 35 minutes to heat (on the initial cycle). For example, at 208V power and 60 degree Fahrenheit incoming water temperature, it will take about 20 minutes to heat up. After the "Water Hot, Ready to Brew" light comes on, run a few water only batches on both sides to verify the brew volume. After a few brew cycles, water level should be about an inch from the top of the shuttle (as per factory settings). The temperature of the water from the hot water faucet should be between 195 and 205 degrees Fahrenheit. You are now ready to brew coffee! Recovery time between brew cycles should be about 4 minutes. If you need to make changes to your machine from the recommended factory settings, disconnect the power, remove the top panel, and follow the "ADJUSTMENT" section of the operation manual. All controls, from brew volume to temperature adjustment, are set at the factory for optimal performance. Follow the manual for daily and weekly cleaning recommendations.
