Servicing the Brushroll & Belt on the Hoover Task Vac Bagless Vacuum Cleaner Video

To clean the brush roll or check the belt, turn the power off, unplug the power cord, and lay the cleaner on the floor with the bottom facing up. Slide the red lower latch to the unlock position, rotate the rear red-locking tab counter-clockwise and lift out the bottom plate. To replace the belt, lift out the end of the brush roll and slide off the worn or damaged belt. Use only genuine Hoover belts with your vacuum. With the white letters facing out, slide one end of the new belt over the motor shaft and the other end over the space on the brush roll where there are no bristles. Pull firmly on the brush roll and guide the end caps into the slots on the nozzle. Reposition the plate by aligning the tabs and slots on the front edge and pivot back into place. Slide the lower red latch into the lock position and rotate the rear red latch clockwise to secure the bottom plate. This cleaner comes with a convenient belt view window. The belt should be checked from time to time to make sure it is in good condition.
