Connect the alligator clip to a known ground. Before use, ensure that there is conductivity (less than 5 OHM) between the alligator clip and all exposed metal. Connect the air supply line to the barbed fitting at the intake on the vacuum lid.

Make sure the valve on the lid is in the off position. (A hand turns the black handle clockwise on the vacuum's air valve.)

Connect accessories. (The port cover to the vacuum chamber is removed manually by pulling the small black pin on the upper right side of the port. The cover hangs by a linked chain, and the hose from the DA-EP-KIT vacuum kit is inserted into the port while pulling the small black pin outward. To secure the hose in the port, the black pin is released, ensuring the hose is secured in place.)

Open the valve to the desired setting and begin vacuuming. (A hand turns the black handle counterclockwise on the vacuum's air valve.) When finished vacuuming, always shut off the main air supply and open the valve at the vacuum to relieve pressure in the airline. For top performance, clean the filters regularly. The gauge on the front of the vacuum head is a guide for filter cleanliness. As the gage moves out of the blue area, the filters require cleaning. Goodway recommends shaking the filter before every use and after a long working period. Only use the external filter shaker when the unit is off. (Demonstration shown of the external filter shaker lever being moved up and down four times).

Replacement of the filter. Lower and remove the debris container (the lever on the side of the vacuum is turned fully forward to show the detachable roll-out collection tank) From the bottom of the unit, remove the cotter pin and remove the grounding wire from the filter shaker frame.
