This freestanding conversion kit will not fit all Mantis 2x2's. Before purchasing it, please check the side of your system for the Compatible with the Freestanding Conversion Kit label. If the label is there, you have the latest design and you're good to affix the kit.

The exclusive Mantis 2x2 can now be converted into a versatile free-standing system. Free-standing placement allows convenient portability and use within environments where suspended placement is not appropriate.

Attach the conversion kit as follows: First, remove the existing stickers applied to the system. Attach the two foot brackets provided in the kit, using the existing screws and washer located on the top sides of the system. Use the existing screws and washers to attach the foot brackets.

After removing the screws and washers from one side of the system, use them to loosely attach one of the foot brackets. Pazi-drive or Phillips screwdriver required. Loosely attach the other foot bracket to the opposite side using the same process. With both foot brackets loosely attached, turn the system over and stand it on a level surface. Apply a slight amount of pressure to the top of the system to ensure the foot brackets are sealed correctly and tighten the screws. Pazi-drive or Phillips screwdriver required.

Remove the catch tray by pulling the spring catch and lifting. From the conversion kit, attach the handle to the replacement tray using the screws and washers provided. Pazi-drive or Phillips screwdriver required.

Attach the Toggle Latch to the switch side of the system, inserting the screws and washers into the two threaded holes in the chassis. Pazi-drive or Phillips screwdriver required. Locate the new lid onto the system and secure it using the Toggle Latch and Latch Receptacle. Reapply the stickers provided in the kit. The conversion is now complete.

Warning! For your safety, do not drill into the Mantis 2x2 frame which could damage the internal wiring in the system and create a fire or electrical hazard. As mentioned in this installation guide video, and instructions included with the conversion kit, use only the system labeled with "Compatible with the Freestanding Conversion Kit."
