Hold at the top and twist...Lower hand goes with the twist removing excess chocolate. Soak tier set in hot water with Dawn dish soap. Pour fondue into trash or container. Scrape with rubber spatula. Wipe out excess with paper towel. Wash out basin. Dawn really works well! Don't submerge unit! Easy to rinse with any set up! Tier set is dishwasher safe. Or hand wash after a 20 minute soak.
