Thank goodness my regular supplier of unsweetened coconut was out of stock. A search brought me to webstaurantstore and I've become a regular customer. I've gone through a hundred pounds of this macaroon coconut and am happy with the results. German Chocolate Pies, Coconut Cream Pies, Coconut Butter Cookies and de Lime in de Coconut Pies are among my creations. I prefer unsweetened coconut so I can adjust the level of sweetness or create a sugar-free product. The texture of macaroon-shred coconut is quite fine and blends smoothly with other ingredients. I would actually like to see webstaurantstore offer a coarser shred of unsweetened coconut, also. Until then, I will continue to use this item in my bakery.

Nice texture, and we love how evenly it bakes. lots of coconut shreds can toast or burn easily, but the uniform texture saves this from being an issue. as always, fresh and undamaged packaging!
