Directions

  1. In a 20 qt. stock pot, over medium-high heat, heat the lentils, minced onion, herb and garlic blend, and ground pepper.

  2. Add the water to the pot and mix in the chicken soup base. Heat the contents of the pot until the soup base is dissolved.

  3. Drain the chicken and cut into chunks. Add it to the pot. *

  4. Increase the heat to high. Bring all the contents of the pot to a boil.

  5. Reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 2 hours.

  6. Turn off the heat and serve immediately or place in a warmer.

  7. *Optional: Add diced tomatoes.
