Details

Never struggle to fill up an ice bucket again with this durable San Jamar Saf-T-Ice 50 lb. polypropylene ice tote transport set with 2 ice totes and cart. Accommodating up to 50 lb. of ice and holding up to 12 gallons of water, this ice tote kit is the perfect balance between a large capacity and an easy-to-use container that won't get unbearably heavy when filled with ice. This makes it ideal for restaurants, cafes, bars, and catering services. Featuring an integrated handle for comfort and raised Tri-Grips for secure handling, less risk of hand contamination, and easier pouring, this kit takes the hassle and struggle out of keeping your drink station stocked with ice. When filling the totes, a 64-84 oz. ice scoop holder and ice scoop are also included to make filling the totes a breeze. Each tote also comes with a compatible Snap-Tight lid that is made to keep contaminants out of your ice while preventing leaks and spills.

Designed with a patented HACCP Hanger, the tote attaches directly to ice machines for faster, easier, and more efficient filling. Plus, it raises the tote off the ground for better sanitation. A trilingual label featuring English, Spanish, and French makes this tote accommodating to most staff members. Plus, this tote can also be hung upside down via the included wall mount and integrated Handi-Hook when not in use to ensure safe and sanitary drying. You'll no longer have to worry about bacteria collecting in the bottom of the tote or losing valuable storage space! For further convenience, this kit features a cart constructed of durable plastic and steel that is able to transport the two totes or 50 lb. of ice. When you are finished transporting your ice, simply fold the cart flat for easy storage. When used together, this kit helps to create an efficient system of storing and serving ice in any commercial establishment!

Customer questions about this product

How are ice tote capacities measured?

Ice tote capacities are rated by gallons and pounds of ice. The exact capacity will vary depending on the type and shape of your ice. In general, each gallon of capacity equates to 4.2 - 5 lb. of ice, depending on the size and form of the ice (i.e. cubed or crushed).

What is the significance of the polypropylene material of this ice tote?

Most polypropylene ice totes are BPA free. They are partially transparent, offering some visibility to ice levels. These totes tend to show dirt easier than polycarbonate totes and are not as durable. Most polyethylene ice totes are also BPA free. Polyethylene is generally more flexible and less rigid than polypropylene and polycarbonate. Polyethylene totes provide no transparency for monitoring ice levels. Polycarbonate ice totes offer the highest durability, rigidity, and level of transparency for monitoring ice levels. They are generally more costly than polypropylene and polyethylene options but will last the longest.
