Calling this a chalkboard would be a bit untrue. They are thin, flexible black plastic squares. You can use chalk markers on these, but they are pretty flimsy.

These are great. I use a standard white chalkboard pen on them, and they rinse clean every time. I use them with stainless steel ring menu holders, and I love the look.
We have a chalkboard theme and these work great to display product name and prices. I was unhappy with he minimum purchase amount but I bite the bullet and splurged, we have enough to last us until the lease runs out but they look so cool!
