We have 4 japanese restaurants who use these with about 3-4 at each store and I've had 8 break on me, in the beginning we thought it was a voltage problem because these cookers kept shutting off then after we added more breakers and better power these still kept breaking, never again.

I've purchase many of these rice cookers. My experience is that they don't last very long.The last two that I've purchased lasted less than two months. They start to take a long time to cook the rice, up to 50 minutes for white rice. I would recommend buying a different product.

Junk. Sushi is 15% of our total sales in a $2M restaurant and these rice cookers didn't even make it a month. We bought two and they both broke.

Great rice cooker! Cooked evenly and quickly. Problem is we bought two of these and a little over a year the first one died and then a month later the second died! I would have thought these commercial rice cookers would've lasted years. It's barely been a year and a half!

We have purchased 2 so far and both of them have stopped working, the cooking setting clicks over to warm and doesn't cook on some occasions and on others it cooks like the temp is low and is taking 3 to 4 hours to cook or sometimes the rice comes out extremely overcooked. This worked great for the first month so we ordered another and about 2 weeks later it stopped working and we thought it was just a malfunction then the second one stopped working. Both lasted about 6 weeks before malfunctioning. Not recommended at all.

We bought 3 rice cookers for Asian restaurant. 2 are broken after using for 4 months. Talked to manufacturer to replace with new ones since they are under warranty. I was asked me to send products to them with my own shipping cost to get fixed. Wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

We purchased this item in September and it has stopped working in 7 months, when I reached out to customer service about the warranty replacement, they wanted me to ship the unit back at my cost and wait for it to be repaired and ship it back to me. Not only is the rice cooker crap but the warranty is even worse. I will never purchase anything from this website again. They expect you to put your restaurant kitchen on hold for repair. When I opened my new restaurant I purchased all my equipment from them, it is a shame that they are losing a customer over a rice cooker.

I am very disappointed. I ordered 2 of this on Oct 12, and after couple of use one does not work. So I worry about the other one can suddenly stop working, that means my restaurant will be stopped. I need customer service to replace this one.

This rice cooker cooks the rice awesome and it's great when it works. We have had several issues where it will stop working and have had to order two more through the manufacturer who have not been able to diagnose the issue. Hopefully the third one is the charm.

Great for high-volume cooking. The rice comes out fluffy and consistent, and it holds temperature really well during service.

We have had this rice cooker working for 7 years! We cook 1-2 batches daily. A few pieces have been banged or broken, but this unit has been one of my most dependable appliances. It's a workhorse!

Very poor quality. They die quite quickly. Considering the price point they should last a lot longer. We have gone through SO many of these. Probably I am the fool to keep on ordering it.

First Rice cooker sent had a defect on the lid which was disappointing, but the issue was resolved quickly by customer service when they sent a replacement. All is now good, thanks!

Proctor Silex 37560R 60 Cup (30 Cup Raw) Electric Rice Cooker / Warmer - 120V - This rice cooker is GEM for me. I order is two times, my first one last three years I think its enough for a cooker to last it. Now I order the same one and hoping for next couple of years.

We've had it for less than a month. We've been trying to get it to work. No matter what amount of rice we try to cook, it doesn't full cook the rice. You have to cook it twice. Looking at the reviews, we don't think getting replacement is going to be a solution. We just want a return and full refund. We tried returning it, but WR is having us going through the manufacuture's warranty process instead of just taking back a defective product that they've sold. It's really frustrating when a company sells a defective product and just wouldn't accept the return, especially when it's less than a month since the date of purchase. going through the manufacture is a pain and a big hassle.

We’ve used this for a couple weeks but it consistently burns/browns the rice on the bottom. We cook 6-10c of basmati per day. We’ve tried increasing/decreasing water, more/less oil, etc to no avail. Fluffing the rice frequently helps but during service you’re usually taking it off the top for speed. We’ve temped it and seems to run around 180+ degrees. We end up cooking extra rice because we know the stuff at the bottom can’t be used. Suggest seeking out a different rice cooker as this one has been a waste of money.

Worked once then stopped. I bought this to replace a much cheaper one, but now am forced to use the old cheap one. Sitting in the box, what a waste of money.

Only last for one and a half month. This's the second third one we got and I decided to stop using this. Customer service here didn't seems like they willing to help either. Cancelling the service now.

I highly recommend this rice cooker. Our restaurant is particular about rice (it is not an afterthought for us), and this does the job quickly and makes [sticky] rice incredibly well. Performs similar to a Zojirushi and other Asian branded rice cookers. The trick is not to fill your rice up to the top - this creates mushy rice at the bottom of the pan. We fill and cook ours only halfway with only 0.25" water. This is so quick that we ended up ordering 2 more for our establishment. Only negative thing is shipping can be delayed.

This rice cooker is Amazing the box was pretty torn up was discouraging and was a concern, the rice cooker also had a dent on the side of the pan but nothing that will prevent it from the use of it but overall it is wonderful rice cooked.

A little smaller than the older version. The pot fits nicely into the old pot. Overall dimensions are smaller by a lot though so it's more space efficient. The big reason why it doesn't get 5 stars is the pot coating. The old coating that Proctor Silex used was a lot better. If you turned the old pot upside down, rice would fall out in a pot shaped chunk. It didn't even needed to be washed. You just had to wipe it with a dry paper towel. The new pot needs to be scrubbed. If you're going to make multiple pots, I would suggest a net, otherwise known as a rice napkin, to dump the rice into another container so the pot is easier to clean. It's still reliable.

Large capacity. No issues with cooking. My lanky complaint is that when the rice is done cooking it automatically switches into “warm” mode, which actually cooks the rices more and doesn’t actually just keep it warm. If I don’t get to the machine when the light switches from “cook” to “warm”, the rice gets over cooked and crunchy on the bottom.

Love this rice cooker! Works quickly and makes the best sticky rice!! I’ve used other brands and nothing compares or even comes close to this rice cooker!!

I use this rice cooker as a warmer instead of cooker. We’ve found out that even if you use rice that is cold, it has the capacity to warm the rice compared to a just warmer item. I’ve tried to cook rice in this item and it doesn’t cook the rice better than a gas rice maker. It’s the ideal product to keep warm the rice, construction is durable, I’ve bought 10 units and they’ve lasted over a year and counting.

We love the Proctor Silex 37540 40 Cup Rice Cooker. It quickly cooks rice perfectly. We have also discovered that you can make mac and cheese in it, also!

The Proctor Silex Rice Cookers have never let us down. We use two different sizes and they are in use everyday 12 hours a day. I have tried other brands but at the end of the day the Proctor Silex makes perfect rice, holds consistent temperature and stands up to the wear and tear of a fast paced Asian restaurant.

Love this rice cooker! Whenever we have a big party, we always pull this out and make a big batch of rice. It is so easy to use and makes perfect rice each time!

We order regularly from this website. This rice cooker was purchased on 10/27/2017 and it has stopped working already. The rice cooker only cooks rice half way through then stop cooking. Not happy with this rice cooker.

We brought 3 of these to pair with our 48 cup rice cooker, we noticed these cookers take much longer to cook the rice completely.

These are good rice cookers, for awhile. Like alot of the other reviews say, it will burn out after heavy usage. I have yet to meet an electric rice cooker that doesn't burn out eventually though.

This rice cooker is so simple that anyone could make white rice as a professional. Iy aldo can make spanish rice and sticky rice. Very versital unit.

We used to have to make batch after batch of rice when cooking for 100+ people, this included lots of stirring and pot watching! Things are so much more simple with this electric rice cooker. Just add the water, the rice, and plug it in. It automatically switches itself to warm when the rice is done. No more burned or clumpy rice!

Very nice unit, unfortunately we ordered the wrong size. The 60 cup is big and definitely larger than our needs. We will be returning it to purchase the 40 cup model as we need the smaller footprint. Not too many cooker/warmers out this and this one meets all of our expectations.

This rice cooker is a super star! We have two of them and use daily to cook both white and brown rice and it does an awesome job. Definitely recommend

It is nice one. Pretty materials and details. It is also easy to clean up and no stick. When cooking white rice, the rice looks good.

I don't think this could really cook 20 cups of raw rice. The most I can do is 11 cups. I use brown rice which maybe is different for some reason? Or maybe they're talking about the weird measuring cup that comes with rice cookers that doesn't actually measure cups for some reason. Aside from the fact that I was hoping it would be slightly bigger, it has lasted longer than any other rice cooker I've ever used.
