I'm not a professional chef. But cooking is my hobby, and I've been doing it for over thirty years. These heavy-duty stainless-steel mixing bowls were made in the USA. I'm sure that a cheaper set of imported bowls would have served my needs. But the weight and quality of this American-made set is immediately evident the moment you pick one up. I hear a lot of people say that they want to support American manufacturing and American jobs. Yet, many of these same people fail to put their money where their mouth is when they make a purchase. When you turn these bowls upside down, you won't see "Made in China" (or some other country). What you will see is "Vollrath, Sheboygan, WI, USA". Maybe that means nothing to you. But it makes a world of difference to me, and to the American workers who made them.

This is the perfect set of metal bowls for any kitchen need that requires a diverse set of bowls. I use the 13-quart for family sized salads and family sized meal preparation. I use the smaller bowls for popcorn, meal preparation, and food storage. These are all Made in USA! Sturdy feeling and appealing looking.
