These used to be much nicer. It's clear they're being made in a new factory without much quality control. They are still lovely, but I had 4 problems right out of the box. Scratched lids, dents, defective coating on lid holders and one unit was completely missing a lid! My second bad experience with Vollrath products this year, after 30 years of offering some of the best quality FS products in America. Webstaurant is going to solve these problems for me, but these will be my last purchase from the Vollrath company. Sure wish they were still made in America!

Our office uses this 4qt chafer for soups and sauces. Our main reason for purchasing this is the lid is able to sit in a holder attachment. We hate when guest have to find a spot to place the lids of chafers. We would have preferred a small roll top but this does the job just fine!
Really nice chafer dish. These have really helped jazz up our buffet lines. We were looking for something small enough for gravy's but big enough so soups.
