This immersion blender is HEFTY. Even though it is one of the smallest versions made by Robot Coupe, it is much more heavy duty than typical home versions. The variable speed and pulse functionality are really easy to use, and the whisk attachment means we don't have to take out our stand mixer just to quickly beat eggs.

Don't waste your money. My Kitchen Aid blender works better than this. This device will stop in the middle of mixing, start smelling like burnt plastic. It's not for commercial use, even though the price is super high.

Unfortunately I also had the same experience. The first one I had broke after 3 months, just barely within the warranty and the replacement they sent broke after 5 months outside of the warranty. For this price I would expect it to last for years and all I was mixing was waffle cone mix which is the same thickness as pancake batter. Other Robot Coup items have been very good but this one is junk.
