Do not waste your time on this product. It is made very cheap and it only lasted a week!

It worked for less than a month. Now it just says Lo. Battery is good. The "set" button won't work to recalibrate it. Useless.

Good quality for the price. The backlight is very helpful. Fits snuggly into the case. Overall, very happy with these thermometers and will buy again in the future.

Waterproof? Dishwasher proof? LIES!!! This thing spend less than 2 minutes in my dishwasher @ 140F. In that time water got under the front plastic on the display and the plastic covering the buttons came up as well. Had to completely remove the plastic coverings to get the water out of it. I wouldn't even trust these to be hand washable if you needed to clean them. If you need waterproof and dishwasher friendly, I can whole heartedly recommend the Cooper Atkins DPP800W MAX 4" Waterproof Digital Pocket Probe / Dishwasher Thermometer (273DPP800W). This unit survived my dishwasher test with no issues whatsoever. I bought 3 different thermometers - 2 from Taylor - they both FAILED, and one from Cooper Atkins - it PASSED and works great!

Love these! They are worth the extra cost and they are easy to use. Batteries are easy to replace and they come with instructions to help staff learn to use all of their features.

I have purchased 3 of these thermometers. They first one worked fine for less than a year and went bad. I purchased another one and it was defective right out of the box. I can still use one, but it's the one I bought most recently and I'm going to purchase a different brand because I don't Trust Taylor Any more.

Durable and lasting. We use these at all of our locations just because of that. They work well and last long. We will continue to purchase this for all of our new properties

Best thermometer I've used simply because of the holder it comes with. It snaps into the sleeve so it doesn't slide out. Can read in F and C, has a backlit, and reads very quickly to a wide range of temps. Worth every penny!

After purchasing many other "cheaper" thermometers that would last for a month or two and then fall apart, we decided to purchase a more sturdy model. We have not been disappointed. This holds up to daily use and keeps working. Solid construction and made to last.

This thing was awesome but strangely enough fell into the sanitizer water and stopped working. It says it's waterproof so I would understand it not working more if it didn't claim that.

Fantastic instant read thermometer. I use it for baked goods as it leaves a very small hole. Can't imagine not having it when making experimental loaves and other goods. A few degrees under or over can be difference between something new that is fantastic or a failure.

The Taylor 4 1/2" Purple Digital Pocket Probe Thermometer is highly accurate in temperature readings and it fits in your pocket. The purple color makes it easier to find if misplaced. Highly recommended for commercial and residential kitchens.

Great design and tight fitting case in fact it's a little scary to force off and on, especially with a sharp point inside, it seems to be reading a little high but can be calibrated so will be great to use for pork and steaks to be sure they are cooked safely!

These are a cheaper thermometer, but they feel more expensive. we have had a few that have been dropped out of a pocket or off a table and no damage.

This digital thermometer has held up very well for four months. We use this for internal temperatures of roast beef and pork loins as well as everyday cold line checks and it has always been spot on.

The thermometer is great because I can keep it in my pocket and test anything whenever I want. Plus the purple is so cute! I love it.

Great tool for our coffee shop/bakery. Thermometer reads quickly and accurately, we've had it in use for over a year and still works great! Its kind of large, but worth it for the readability and all the features. Love how it clips into a pocket or onto an apron!

My employees love how quick this thermometer is to give the correct temperature! I purchased two and I keep the other for a backup. They give you a reading very quickly.

Thermometer is still working and accurate after a year of use. Unfortunately I do not trust the water proofing as the case warped when sat above a sauce pan to measure the temperature. Thus while the probe is rated for up to 450 deg the case will degrade and warp well before that so be careful.

This thermometer is easy to use and calibrate. It is a little bulky when compared to you standard pocket thermometer but do to it's size the screen is easy to read.

So far so good. I use it to take the temperature of bread dough. It's easy to read and the light comes in handy sometimes.

When I had this, it broke within a few months. I contacted customer service and they sent me a new one which was great. A few days later, my local health department came and asked to see it as it's a requirement. Had I not had one, I would've been in trouble. I just hope the replacement doesn't break on me.

These were the work horse for a church fish fry. Rapidly measured the temperature of the fish fillet before serving. Would recommend this style probe.

These thermometers work very well, they are very durable and the batterly life is wonderful. They protrude from the arm pocket and sometimes get caught on cooler flaps and lost.

Excellent digital thermometer. I find these much easier to read than the non-digital ones. The reading is fast and accurate, plus it's easy to clean. Fair price, too.

Nice thermometers. They are a bit longer than previous models of Taylor digital thermometers of the same style, so they stick out of the arm pocket in your jacket a bit much. The sheath also very snugly clicks onto the thermometer. This is great because it doesn't fall out of the sheath, but the thermometer doesn't slide out easily - requiring two hands to unsheathe. Quick temperature reading and backlight is a good feature.

I'm so happy I ordered this thermometer! It reads temperatures so quickly, much faster than my other 'instant' read thermometer. I wish it had a simple on/off button rather than pushing the button a third time and holding on the third press for 5 seconds...gets annoying when you're probing for temps MANY times. I don't want to leave it on to wear out the battery. That being said, I still prefer this to the other three thermometers I have in the house. It's probe is very thin compared to the others I have which makes it hard to see where I've probed baked goods. It's also longer so I don't have to worry about touching the plastic cavity on the hot food. Excellent purchase for me.

This digital thermometer is a big step up from the entry level digital probe thermometers you see both on this site and via retail. It performs well in every respect, The accuracy and response time is very quick. It has multiple features. It's very easy to access the battery compartment and you can easily calibrate if needed. The build is really solid and noticeably better than other thermometers I've used. Lastly, the tip is very thin and sharp so you aren't left with an obvious hole when you serve your food.

I was really happy with my thermometer until I let a co-worker borrow it (who subsequently broke it). Easy to read and quick readings. It's a little top heavy, due to the large head and all the functions, but if those features are important to you, it's a great thermometer. A long probe makes temping big roasts a cinch.
