This is a much larger sponge than I anticipated! I feel like I could soak up a bath tub with this sponge! Okay, maybe not that much water, but you get the point. I bought it with two purposes in mind, depending on what it did well at. I don't like using dish sponges on my outdoor teak table. It soaks up wine and oil faster than my Brazilian-Italian husband does, so I wanted a "dedicated" sponge to wipe it down after every meal.
