I didn't give these a five star as they are not the easiest items to figure out. For cold use, just throw them in the freezer, just as any other cold pack, However to use for heat they are rather more difficult to figure out. they do not come with any instructions to heat up. ie. How long do you microwave them for! There seems to be no instructions online, so it's just trial and error. I've actually found that Nuking them at half power for longer is better than high power as they seem to heat more evenly. The only instructions I found online had me heat them for 2 mins on High. This did very little. I nuked them for about 6 mins on Medium, they worked much better that way, but I guess it depends on the Microwave. It Read More

This has saved the day numerous times. best part it can replace ice in coolers which makes clean ups much easier, since not having to dump anything out. TO heat i prefer the boiling water method, gets it very hot.

I use these for a school lunch catering company. Initially these worked great, they hold the heat very well. However, over past six months, I have had to continually order more because they develop leaks. I am hoping to find a brand that will last longer.

I have used this product for over 8 years, for both cooling and warming. None have sprung leaks, and I suspect overheating causes the leaks. Based on 1000 watt microwave power, I heat them at 75% power for 45 seconds, let rest 1 minute, then another 45 seconds. Freezing is simple, but when they are flexible stack them carefully, as if you stack them more than 3 tall, some may not freeze completely.

Reusable, and non-toxic, the Microcore thermal hot or cold packs add reassurance, on long trips, that proper temp. is maintained. Recommend this product for it's quality and price.

Fit nicely in a half-size delivery bag, and kept our food hot for several hours during my daughter's grad party. I was actually surprised that nothing had to be discarded for holding temp at the end of the party!

These are perfect out of the freezer to keep items cold for hours. When you heat them in the microwave they are great at keeping hot food hot.

Haven't used them frozen yet, but it would have been nice to get some kind of instruction sheet to let me know how long to microwave them. Had to play around with timing and still not sure what the maximum heating time and temp are. They worked great in the Cater Gator but wish I would have heated them longer.

This is the second one I bought, even though it’s smaller that the first one I like how it’s actually thicker. I found this to hold heat a little longer than the other one.

Was worried about condensation. But this keep everything cold during transport and I had no worries. Freeze the night before and they are ready to go.

These are quality ice packs that hold a freeze for hours or heat to very hot in a matter of minutes to keep foods hot.

We use for our pies when we are at farmers markets selling. They keep pies chilled for the 4 hours we are in heat. Great value

I purchased 2, to be used for hot and cold. 1 for hot and 1 for cold. Used them at the same time. KEPT MY FOOD WARM and KEPT MY DRINKS AND SALSA COLD. Very fast to heat up and stats hot for a long time. Gets cold in minutes and both are flexible. I had to look up for instructions, does not come with any.

We were using this pack for keeping our hot box warm while loading it up with our food. It works okay. Have not used it as a cold pack but have no doubt it would work great.

When frozen it stays cold for days and when boiled in water it stays hot for hours. Very easy to clean if they ever get dirty.

An absolute must hot and cold solution to delivery bags. They microwave in 3 minutes or can be left in the freezer for when needed. They wash and sanitize easily. Great product here.

These are great! I got six of them to help keep food cold in a cooler during a trade show. They lasted the entire day even with me constantly opening the cooler. I haven't tried it hot yet, but I expect it to work just fine based on the quality.

I got these to go with my portable food warmer carrying cases. They are the perfect size to keep foods warm during transport, but they serve double duty since you can freeze them and use them as cold packs too. That’s means less things I have to store in my kitchen.

This reusable pack is absolutely fantastic. Be careful not to overheat, and always use a paper towel between the pack abd your skin but this prodyct is a winner!

this is a very big thermal hot/cold pack. it's great for anything. i use it mostly as a cold pack in a cooler, but it would work just as well to keep food warm while you transport it. even for first aid if you're in a pinch

We use these as ice packs and they have been a great addition to our delivery company. We have not tried them as hot packs yet but are confident they will be just as effective.

The product works good but we had a few problems. When we received our order there were no instructions on how long to warm it. The product itself said do not over warm but nothing to say how long that was. So out of the threevwe ordered, one split...guess we over warmed. Out of the two we have left, they do what they say and keep food warm in delivery bags. We will probably order morejust going to see how long the last two go before they split and leak.

These packs have been amazing! We needed a way to create a pizza warming station without running electricity. We heated up a dozen packs and placed them under inverted sheet pans. The pizzas on top stayed warm and safe. We changed them out about every 30 minutes to make sure they pizzas stayed hot, but we couldn't have done it without these packs. Now they're getting daily use on our food truck to keep sodas fridge cold. 2-3 packs with a little cool/cold water to transfer the cold and room temperature sodas are drinkable in 20 minutes or less. We're saving considerably per day on ice.

We use those for catering and they hold temperature well. Either cold or hot and used in a cooler or cambro they last for hours. After a long day of catering they are still half frozen.

This hot/cold pack is a little smaller than a 1/2 pan lid (for size reference) and keeps product remarkably cold for a very long time. I'm quite pleased with these. Great for catering.

I deliver Meals-On-Wheels. We use igloo-type coolers to deliver hot meals. Each stop to deliver a meal means the cooler is opened to retrieve the meal. This means that the lid is opened 20 - 25 times over the course of a route. These pads do a great job of keeping the meals warmer, longer. I have ordered a dozen or so over the past two years and have been very pleased with them. Recent concern. One of my pads developed a leak. I ordered two new pads. When the box arrived it was obvious that one of the pads had leaked during shipment. Webstauranstore promptly shipped a replacement. It looked okay, but upon first use it also leaked. To their credit, Websturantstore is sending a second replacement. I don't expect the pads to last forever, but I'm concerned about this recent failure rate on new pads.

I used these as hot thermal packs when catering my own wedding. Since then I have used them as cold packs numerous times. I keep them in my freezer at all times. They have remained frozen for up to 24 hours in a sealed food carrier.

I transport food for a School District. I purchased these to keep the foods hot. I was very pleased with these. They keep the foods at the proper temperatures for at least 3 hrs or longer. I haven't tried them for cold stuff yet. I would highly recommend these.

STELLAR product. These hot packs maintain their temperature for a long time - I've used them for 2 hours in an insulated cooler bag (also purchased on this site) and they're still hot. Be cautious when handling as the product instructions state - they can burn if you're not careful. And they can puncture which will let all the fluid out so they're of no use at that point. I will be purchasing more of these pronto because they're that awesome!
