Honestly I like these style of tongs and this particular pair but I do know that the locking mechanism will eventually get in the way more than it's worth. Also if you look at the way the pin is stuck through the two halves then you know it isn't the most durable way to do it. The name brand pairs (like Vollrath) where it looks two rounder, flatter rivets on both ends is fair more durable. I can only give it 4 stars for that reason. Still a decent pair for the price.

Decent inexpensive option. The rivot that holds the crux of the tongs together will pop over time. Be warned.

This works great for serving chicken pieces at my daughter's bridal shower. It's great to have a few extra now for holidays and parties.

Perfect size for making our BBQ sandwiches with. Not flimsy, We have even used them to grill corn on the cob with and baked potatoes. Picks them up perfectly!

Practical size utility tongs - I can never have enough of these! They clean easily, but if washing by hand make sure to scrub inside the handles under the folds. Dishwashers handle it fine.

This is an essential in the kitchen... if you don;t have, you know you need. I like the way they work well, not too cumbersome, and they are well made... clean up easily and no signs of wear....

First of all I love the price and the weight of these tongs. The quality is amazing and they all come with a ring on top which you can easily slide up to open and slide down to keep them closed (which is actually an aid in space saving as well. And oh yeah if ever the clasps ring falls off, don't worry it can easily be pushed back into position.

These are heavy duty and feels like it will hold up for years. I have not put them through the dishwasher yet but we have washed them and there’s no rust.

Perfect size tongs for most uses. We are using to grab tacos out of a tray in a coffee trailer. We haven't used them long but will see how long they hold up.

These are my daily driver. I use them for cooking and serving. They wash well by hand and in the dishwasher. I recommend them for sure

These are the perfect size for moderate amounts of lettuce at a salad bar or serving of pasta from the buffet; they're not too big, but they are sturdy enough for getting a good sized portion. The clamp at the end works well to keep them shut for storage; this may sound silly, but don't clamp them until they have gone through the washer!

These tongs are very durable and are used by our kitchen staff. They are also long enough to prevent the steam from our steam table from causing burns or make it unbearable from serving. They are also easy to clean and grip very well.

This is a very basic but effective tong. We use these to remove pastries from our display case, and they effectively grasp everything from fragile galettes and tea cakes to sturdy scones. So far seems to be holding up well to dishwasher cleaning, but it hasn't seen heavy use yet.

Good pair of budget tongs! These get the job done without too much fan-fare. The tongs and the grips are remarkably sturdy, the only complaint is the locking ring on one pair is slight large causing it to occasionally get stuck over the rivet preventing the tongs from locking.
