this is a good unit for the money, although it isnt really a snow cone machine, more like i slush size ice. the blades will not adjust close enough to make snow cone ice, but it works well. works better with a square cubed ice.

This Machine rocks. Literally burns through any kind of ice and makes a nice snowy product. We use this machine in the Florida Heat and capture the snow in coolers to prevent melting in our hot, humid Florida summer weather. For the bar we use it each May to make Mint Juleps for the Kentucky Derby and specialty frappe' all year long. We also use the crushed ice for keeping fish and seafood fresh and cold.

we bought this for our second location after buying one from the same company. we use it for crushed ice for raw oysters and clams. it is super fast and not too noisy.
