The price is perfect and it works well. We will be keeping a few of these around the kitchen. The one reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the conical/tapered stone is not very wide, so if you're doing bread knives you will have to put in some extra work.

I had a cheaper knife that I thought about throwing away, because it was so dull. I ran it through the coarse, then the fine slot and was amazed how well it worked. This item is very simple to use. I feel sharpening on a whetstone requires some skill and training. This tool allows anyone in the kitchen to sharpen knives.
