We did not get much use out of this cutting board. I thought it would work perfect for us, but it didn't. The black coating flakes off very easily. If you were to chop onions on it, there will be black specks about the size of glitter all over them. We tried scrubbing and washing it over and over but it didn't solve the problem. Unfortunately we passed the return date. Contacted the manufacturer and they told us we need to buy fine sandpaper and sand it down until it no longer flakes. Seems odd to have to do this on an expensive cutting board. Would not recommend.
