Bought two of these scales about 6 months ago. One sat on our shelf as backup, and when we finally brought it into production it lasted less than a month. The second scale is still working, however the digital read seems to be falling into the scale. Great price point, but very poorly constructed scales. Invest in something that you can rely on.

Had high hopes for this scale but unfortunately it's pure trash. Looks great and SEEMS to work but have noticed at times when I move the exact same product back and forth on the scale the weight will slightly change. And just now figured out this scale weighs items 1/2oz lighter than our other 2 scales. What value is a scale if it cannot give accurate weight???

We use these scales in our classroom kitchen and our high school students can use well. They are durable. The fact the they have battery power or ac power source was a big plus for us. Great product.

Worked great until it didn't. Stopped working after 3 years of use. Battery died and when replaced with brand new batteries, it just never turned on again. Gotta love planned obsolescence! Buy more stuff make more trash.

I really liked this scale for using in my bakery. I purchased this scale in June of this year and it completely stopped working yesterday. I won't turn on at all. At first I thought it was the power cord, but it won't turn on with batteries either. I am giving this review 2 stars because I did like the scale, but durability is horrible since it didn't last me 5 months!

Great scale. Purchased several years ago, but still using it today. Accurate, portable. Large enough for most weighing needs.

Received this scale and it worked for a few days before it stopped turning on. Wouldn't work with the plug or batteries. I needed a scale to portion bread dough and this one failed. I would not recommend this scale.

Did not last

This scale looks great, but didn't last. We purchased less than a year ago and it just stopped working. Now we have to buy a different one. I have had cheaper scales that have lasted me for years. Very disappointed.

This is one of the best scales I ever used. I got this in 2019 and ordered more since then. Never had issues. Taring and turning on and off is fast. Will buy more.

Worked great, while they lasted. I've replaced my scales with cheap kitchen scales that were more durable than these. As stated in other reviews, there are errors when weighing, scale fails to "boot" up, the display falling apart, just very poor quality. The original one from 2019 still works, the others have all quit. Over the years I've bought 5 of these for farmers markets, I have 1 left that works. Price was good, but they just don't last. Spend the extra money on Taylor, Cardinal, or San Jamar.

I wanted to love this and did for 10 months. Not it’s stopped working and it appears from the other reviews that this happens. The price point was decent so I’m not crushed but just having to use a ooor backup til I get a new one. I’ll be investing more this time around.

A weigher is good for weighing any type of food and veggies. Although sometimes it does tend to not read correctly so I would have to reboot it.

I bought three of these scales, two seem to work well. One is always off by at least 20 grams. Have reset and changed the batteries and still the same problem.

One of the most accurate scales I’ve used to date. I am very happy with this product. This is a must have piece of kitchen equipment. I highly recommend this product to any and every kitchen.

very disappointed: after 2 months the electric link stop working ( the scale turn off during utilization if I move the scale) and I should use battery now. the third months the amount change and make me mistake in my recipes. I need really be careful about the weight ( not to heavy). not the perfect one...

Accurately measures quantities and updates quickly. Exactly what I was looking for in a scale. Also does not take up a large amount of space which is convenient in a small kitchen.

Works well enough, operation is simple. The construction is a little flimsy, the clamshell design of the casing is not solid enough that i'd be inclined to believe it would actually support 20 pounds being placed on it.

We love this scale. Easy to use and very easy to clean. The cover for the metal part is great because it keeps the scale clean. not hard to tare or scale out either.

Only disappointing thing is that it doesn't work with rechargeable AA batteries. When you use rechargeables, it works for a day and then complains of low battery, even though the batteries are still full. This should be simple to fix in the electronics by lowering the low battery warning voltage a bit to 1.1V/cell. I also wish there was an option to turn off the display backlight - I don't need it and it uses more battery. Besides that, I've been very happy so far with the performance and operation of this scale.

This Avaweigh 20 pound digital portion scale is a life saver. It has a big surface and the metal part comes off for easy cleaning. It is also great that it can be used with batteries or a plug.

Excellent portion scale, and a superb value for the money. The display is very clear, and the haptic feedback from the buttons is smooth, comfortable, and reliable.

Really great scale, super easy to use and clean. This has made baking so much easier. I really like that the tare weight can be held indefinitely when it is plugged in, nice feature.

I've purchased 4 of these and only 1 of them works.. 1 didn't work upon arrival, 2 of them stopped working within 4 weeks and the plastic covering the buttons broke easily, and the last one works perfectly and I wish they all worked like that one. The 1 that didn't work would only power on and weigh. Also once you turn the scale on the power button stops working so the only way to turn it off is to take the batteries out. The 2 that stopped did work great for a short period. The cover of the buttons broke easily. After a few weeks they started doing what the first scale did. This is my favorite scale at our bakery. It is light and I like that the top can be removed to wash when it gets dirty.

No complaints from this scale. Easy to use and gets the job done. The surface makes it easy to clean and maintain. Good product all around.

Backlit screen is a plus. Battery or plug in. Thats a nice touch. I like that option. Its fast to turn on, tare, and change units. Fir grams, it only increments by .5 not .1, so you are going to want to stick with larger batches. The SS plate on top is handy dandy too. It saves having to push down on the scale pad if you need to scrub it.

I’ve used a few Taylor brand scales that were a fraction of the cost, but finicky, difficult to properly clean, and they kept breaking. This is sturdy and easily cleaned. I also love the ac adaptor option. Such an upgrade.

We received this scale and it has't worked correctly once. It repeatedly flashes hold, tares in the middle of weighing something, then displays a negative number. Highly disappointed and now back to the drawing board to find something that works. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

These scales are great. We have went through quite a few low end scales that did not lad very long in our window but these have proven to hold up very well and are super accurate.

This scare works great. We use it to portion out our baked items. The only con is that plug part. It's very flimsy and easily breaks considering its for commercial use.

This scale works great! We put a large bowl on top and weigh out all of our baking ingredients each day. We have only had it one week, but so far no complaints!

AvaWeigh is a very accurate scale. You can use this scale both with cord and without the cord simply by putting batteries in, which makes it very convenient.
