The knife tears cakes; it does not cut them. Even though we are down to one other long, serrated knife at my bakery, no one will use this knife; we all wash and reuse the Dexter.

A nice longer style wavy edge bread knife that is great for slicing our fresh bread for sandwiches. The knife does a great job and cuts the bread into the exact size we need.

I was very surprised by the quality of this knife. I thought that the blade would be flimsy because of the length compared to the length of the handle but I was wrong. The blade is very firm and sharp and it cuts through bread easily without tearing it. This is great for restaurant use.
