seems like a good concept, just does not work for fresh or soft bagels, it simply crushes them rather than cutting. probably works just fine on a store bought bagel. if the manufacturer designed another model which holds the bagel as this one does but incorporates a bread knife that actually saws the bagel, I would buy it. cutting bagels in your hand can be very dangerous and a tool like this that holds the bagel in a verticle position would be great.

This a great little tool. The design is simple but iy is very effective. I like that it is easy to clean and doesn't take a lot of room to store away

The bagel blade is sturdy and holds up well through daily use. It does "crumple" bagels if they are too soft, though, so we are only able to use it either for harder bagels (not super fresh ones), or if we toast a bagel a little first, but that adds time to the total prep time of the bagels... It does help from a safety perspective, but sometimes adds more time because of the "crumple" factor!

We have a cafe and we sell a lot of bagels. We bought this slicer to get a sense of whether we wanted to buy the more expensive one from the same company. It was an instant disappointment. Maybe it was us, but this just squished bagel after bagel. We bake the bagels then immediately refrigerate. The bagels are not soft and airy. I don't know why this slicer was crushing them. I would love to hear someone with a different point of view, because it seemed like it would be great. But that was our experience. We don't use it.

Blade slices trough bagel without smashing it or disfiguring it in any other way. A safe product to have around in lieu of a standard knife that can slip and harm employees or countertops. Very convenient and quick to use.

This thing is amazing. Makes it so you can but unsliced bagels (cheaper). Our guests call it the Giatine! Ha! Works well and we've never sharpened it and its several years old.

Good bagel slicer. We use it daily but it does not always cut the bagels, yet try to smash them. I still prefer a knife to cut my bagels.

This product did not perform as intended. The slicer smashes the bagels, even if they are pre-sliced. This product was to be the alternative to a knife for the employees. Would not recommend.

We use these to slice bagels in our shop. Very quick, safe, effortless way to slice. No worries about staff cutting their fingers or hands slicing bagels.

We have had these for over a year now and I was doubtful at first on how well they would preform but a year later and we are still getting a clean slice with minimal force needed! Would recommend to anyone! 10x better than risking the loss of a finger.

WE MAKE MORE THAN A DOZEN BAGELS A DAY AND THIS HAS BEEN SO HELPFUL IN THE PROCESS. WE USE IT FOR OUR COFFEE SHOP AND I ACTUALLY ENDED UP BUYING ONE FPOR MY PARENTS FOR THEIR HOME. THEY LOVE IT AND USE IT EVERYDAY.

Just doesn't work all that great. If slicing a nice, fresh bagel it seems to squash them either a lot or a little. I think the blade is too thick and heavy.

This is a huge convenience. It’s so much better than a knife. We love it now that we have it. It cut bagels really well and smooth.

Housing for the bagel is a little narrow. Blade is difficult to sharpen, and if the tip of the blade is dull the bagel gets crushed. Very difficult to wash by hand.

Had this for over a year now. It still cuts with ease. Only wish it was a little wider as bagelks do get stuck in it, but for the price, totally worth it.

We bought this to replace an older one from a different vendor and this one did not cut nearly as well as the older one. At first we thought it was because the bagels were fresh, but then we realized the blade is not all that sharp.

This helps us out quit a lot. Now our staff can not only cut the bagels faster but we now have even and Consistent every time.

Qua;ity of product is great but unfortunately it is not wide enough for New York style bagels. If you use the standard food service type it's fine if not this will not work.

I got this as a gift for someone, and it went over well. I didn't know that this type of thing even existed until I saw this exact model in a hotel I was staying at. Works like a charm!
