This tip is sturdy and has a good, crisp star shape for cupcakes. I also put it through the dishwasher and there was no warping.

I loved using this tip! It pipes out frosting evenly and doesn’t break out of the bag! Also it is super easy to clean when your done using it.

This tip is amazing for cupcakes but PERFECT for making churros. Other tips like the closed star tips work, but not nearly as well. This makes it great to experement with churro shapes like bowl/donut shapes

The quality on the Ateco tips is great. The points on the top of the star are sturdy so they don't bend easily. They are easy to clean!

good ateco 826 open star piping tip, ateco offers quality, durabilty . Easy to store, clean and use. Would recomend for small cakes decorations , delicates creams.

I used these for my Girl Scout Troop. We were earning a baking patch. These worked great, and the girls really enjoyed the activity. They were able to bake and decorate their own cupcakes.

This tip works just fine for decorating and frosting the tops of cupcakes. If you are looking to do a rose swirl though I would recommend a closed star tip for a better shape.

The cupcake swirl is classic for a reason. Everyone loves it and it gives them the anticipation of being about to indulge in the perfect cupcake. I've owned lots of large Ateco piping tips for cake and cupcake decorating for years and the quality is always high. The Ateco 826 tip along with 827-829 in my opinion belong in every baker's kit. Sometimes, I want a deeper grooved look to my frosting but not as much as the closed star 846 tip would give. Since I have multiples of this tip, I bent the prongs in slightly on one of them and this made it even more versatile. Love this piping tip and will be frosting cupcakes with it for a long time to come.

This is a great large tip for piping stars and anything decorative. Works great with disposable piping bags and has held up well. Love it

This tip is way bigger than expected, but works very well it does need a bigger piping bag though at least and 18" bag. very sturdy

In my experience the Ateco tips are reliable and sturdy. They are cheaper on this site vs. buying them in the craft stores. This tip is versatile and makes beautiful shapes and swirls.

After testing this pastry tube, I like the designs I am able to create with this particular tube. It works as a different option but slightly similar to a closed star tip.

When using 1/2" #6 open star pastry tube it's really big so you get a big star shape on your cupcake. Do you know what that mean, less work for you.

The open star is a very classic pastry tube design and one our pastry team uses often. This pastry tube has a 1/2" wide tip and is great for decorating various types of desserts and pastries. We do suggest hand washing this. It is made of durable stainless steel and is very easy to clean.

Ive used a lot of tips in the past, but this one is by far the best and sturdiest. It doesnt move once its filled and fits my piping bag perfectly.
