While this is far from the real thing, it can definitely enhance that “cream cheese” taste. I’ve used this in buttercream as I’m not allowed to use actual cream cheese. I use some additional salt and a touch of lemon juice with this to achieve a very close “cream cheese frosting” flavor. This can also be used to we have the cream cheese in a whatever dish you are making. I’ve been using this product for several years and will continue to do so.

The smell is pretty awful, if you need a cream cheese scent why dont you incorporate some real cream cheese. Might not be this brand's fault, but I have not found any cream cheese emulsion in the market that smells pretty natural. Try LorAnn's coffee and maple, they are amazing!
