This brand of cookie mix is great, I agree with the previous review that finding the right amount of water to add is an issue, my recipe is; 4 cups of mix, 1/2 cup water, 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips. I just mix it lightly in a bowl and drop spoon it on a cookie sheet, bake at 350 degrees for about 10 min.

Was not impressed with these at all. Unfortunately, when following the directions to "just add water", these are not very good. We made them according to the package exactly, and allowed several people to try them for quality and consistency, and every person said they did not meet their expectations of a sugar cookie. Tried another, local, just add water mix, and the quality was superior to this. Would not recommend to anyone.

I have great ideas for this cookie mix, adding some fruit filling to make thumb print cookies, decorating some with colored sugar an sprinkles, and even putting into a cookie cup pan and inserting mini peant butter cups into the centers ...this will be a real time saver too!!

This mix makes a great base for cookies and really all you do is add water. I tend to add additional ingredients to add more flavor, so think again of it as a base.

Nice easy sugar cookies. Not good for rolled out cookies as it doesn't hold it's shape well without puffing but sprinkle a little cinnamon sugar on top and it makes a wonderful snickerdoodle.

I purchased this mix with the intention of making a Snickerdoodle. Took me a couple of test batches to get it down but I have had customers telling me they are the best they've ever had. I do my batches using 3# of mix - 2 tsp of Cream of Tartar, 1 TBSP Cinnamon, and 9.1 oz of water. My cookies are 5"+ in diameter so to get them to cook evenly I press them down. The dough was sticky so I learned to press them into the cinnamon sugar so they don't stick. I don't have a full kitchen at the shop - I have gotten it approved from the Health Department to use a table top convection oven and I do small "artisan" batches. This mix is Awful!. Worst tasting oatmeal cookie mix I have ever tried. Totally tastes like chemicals. I cannot sell this in my shop. Complete waste of money! and i have a case of it.

This was an interesting buy. Tried it and didn't like it. The cookies baked very dry and tasted like a cookie that was stale. I don't recommend. The only way to make a sugar cookie is from scratch and then roll it out.

Im shocked that this product has so many good reviews. It tastes terrible, and the cookies spread out and don't hold their shape. The directions should include letting the buyer know they need to add some kind of flavorful ingredients to it. If you own this product, I would suggest adding sugar, vanilla, some extra flour, and chocolate chips. I usually only post good reviews, but these were awful. I made the 5 lb mix and threw them all out, as well as the remaining 20lbs of product I purchased. It's in the trash.

I love the ease in using this product. I added some of my own touches, but the mix is a great base. I added sprinkles and vanilla extract for Celebration Cookies; added butter and vanilla extract and rolled a batch in cinnamon sugar for Snickerdoddles. The price is GREAT too for the amount of product.

I bake from scratch, but decided to try this mi. I love this product! I can add all sorts of flavors and candy, etc. to it to make even more amazing cookies. I am thrilled I was smart enough to try this mix. I will be buying this again and agai .

I bought this to save time in making them from scratch ! Unfortunately, there is too much baking soda in the mixture.. They taste too bitter once cooked.. I tried to even it out a little by adding some extra ingredients, but it just would not take away the bitterness.. Nice size for the amount, and maybe some people like that taste of baking soda, I unfortunately do not..... I will still be giving 5 stars because it was a great deal for the amount you get, its just a matter of taste, and I cannot fault the company for that !

Not your typical sugar cookie mix, the cookies were very dense and almost cake like. Flavor was a nice light vanilla blend but i would not recommended or be repurchasing this particular product in the future.

This oatmeal cookie mix makes really really good cookies. It makes the best and the most soft cookies you will every eat. Really good for the price.

I feel badly giving this a low star rating, as many have given it five stars (which is why I bought it in the first place)- but after giving it multiple tries, I cannot be convinced that this is a good mix. We were not happy with the flavor or the texture. I am using it up by mixing it into my brownies a little bit at a time, just so I don't waste the mix completely.

This mix is great! It makes approx. 100 cookies and I can change them into anything I want such as Salted Caramel Cookies. The next best thing is that I do not have to make them all at once I can just make what I need and put the rest away until its needed! Great buy

Just add water. It can't get any easier. We received lots of compliments on the cookies and everyone was satisfied. We added a little more water than called for but did not use cookie cutters.

The over all flavor of this product was good, but it turned out much fluffier than you would expect a cookie would be. Given that it had much of a cake texture, we ended up using it as just that, we created many different sweet cupcakes and muffins with this mix.

The day this was delivered, my cousins decided they wanted cookies. When they came to raid my pantry for a packet of mix (the supermarket kind), I told them they were in luck - I had a brand new bag of sugar cookie mix. Even though the description clearly states that the instructions are on the bag, the bag was competent blank. No temperature or time instructions, no ratio of water to mix - NOTHING. After looking it up on the site, I weighed out the right portion of mix and water/vanilla extract mix, and told them that the fee for my supplies was I wanted a few of the cookies. When I asked later where my cookies were, In their words, "the cookies sucked, we went out for donuts". Apparently the dog wouldn't eat them either.

Meh. These are so-so, but in no way compare to my homemade sugar cookies. My customers would know the difference immediately. Not a win for me.

I wanted to give this mix a try just because of the amazing price and the ease of mixing and baking them. They were ok. No better than your store bought sugar cookie, but not as good as the mix I was previously using. Can't win them all.
