Originally bought the Shank's spearmint thinking it was the peppermint, but it was a happy accident! The spearmint is definitely very different than the peppermint but they're both unique and lovely in their own minty ways. Definitely recommend getting both of them and seeing which one you prefer in your drinks and baked goods. We just made a vegan and gluten free spearmint swirl cookie that guests really enjoyed!

This flavor brings me back to my childhood making mint hot chocolate during the holidays. Oftentimes I find peppermint too assertive and makes things taste like toothpaste, but spearmint extract is harder to find. It's a large bottle, which is good because I don't think that it's quite as strong or potent as the kind I used to get. I used to be able to use just a couple drops for a whole mug of hot chocolate, now I need at least twice as much with this product.

This is some potent extract. It is has a pleasant smell and seems mild at first, but one simple tasting will change your mind about it being mind as it packs one mean punch. I like to add it to black tea as I like mint tea but also would like some caffeine to go along with it. I have also made chocolate cupcakes with mint buttercream and it came out quite tasty. There are only 2 ingredients which is great and seems to be high quality. For the price per oz and the quality this gets 5 stars from me.

That cool taste of mint is a great addition to any treat. Chocolate mint is very popular and rightfully so. These larger size bottles are a good deal. They are plastic and are well sealed. The flavor is good too.
This is the best flavouring for my buttercream. It has a nice strong minty flavour but not overpowering for my buttercream. It does not change the consistency of the buttercream.
