Reviews for Regal Coarse Grind Ground Black Pepper - 5 lb. - 4/Case

Having purchased this multiple times in the past, was always consistently happy with it. However, the last 3 purchases (8 containers in total) each container has had more black pepper POWDER in it than the last. I can't shake for more than a few seconds before all the powder crops up at the top and starts being shaken out. Really rather annoying because we need the course grind specifically.

This is a good, consistent product that I use for a rub for turkey, pork, and beef dishes. I simply mix two parts pepper to one part kosher salt. It doesn't get much better than that--perfect Texas bbq flavor! Unfortunately, one of the containers was crushed and spilled pepper all over....bummer.

While the quality of the pepper seems to be good, the coarse grind is a bit of a misnomer. Particle size is much smaller than what we have purchased in the past from other brands that state coarse grind. The price however is very competitive.

Very disappointed in this product! It says table grind but this is fine ground with plenty of dust and almost as powdery as white pepper. I can't even use it as I intended to in my bbq rubs. I also bought the course grind pepper and was disappointed in that product also. I expected more of a courser cut but instead got what this table grind should've been.

The Regal Black pepper is a nice coarse grind. I prefer the course ground for the texture and appearance. This smelled very fresh and had a long expiration date.

Great and freshly ground pepper taste! The cost is so great that I have my employees wanting me to order some for them as well. Just a note, I have ordered some cost effective salt and pepper shakers from this site and you will need to widen the holes on the plastic pepper shakers for this product. I was able to do that easily with my smAll sharp point tip scissors very easily.

This pepper is amazingly priced but you get what you pay for. This black pepper is very powdery so you have to be careful with your measurements what worked fine before maybe too much pepper with this one. Also when you pour it leaves peppery cloud.

Locating, ordering and receiving this product was fantastic. Unfortunately, we are unable to get the necessary regulatory documents that we need for manufacturing the product for our customer. Had we known that, we would have ordered from another vendor.
