It moves the sensing location outdoors to optimize your HVAC system's performance. This allows your thermostat to accurately display the outdoor temperature. Its dual fuel balance point determines when the heat pump and furnace are used to save energy.
This sensor features a weather-resistant case for long-lasting durability, and it withstands temperatures from -40 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. It securely wall mounts outdoors (hardware sold separately), and it has a wireless range of up to 100'. It boasts a battery-powered design that accepts (2) AA batteries for operation. For colder climates, it is recommended to use 2 lithium AA batteries.
