Preserve 36007 Multi-Utensil Cutlery Dispenser

This is Preserve's cutlery dispenser. It holds 400 pieces of cutlery all made from recycled plastic and made in the USA. We're going to tell you a little bit about the dispenser - how to fill it and how to care for it in order to keep it working really well. In order to load the dispenser, you'll need to remove the hood. Be careful, the hood does not have a hinge, so simply slide it off and set it to the side. In order to begin by filling the dispenser, press the button at the top and pull the door out and set it down. Grab the replacement pack, which holds 50 pieces. Orient the tines of the fork down, or the bowl of the spoon down, and slide them into the chamber like this all the way to the bottom. Be careful not to press down or try to fill too many above the fill line because that can cause a jam. Once you've reached the bottom of the dispenser, pull out on the paper piece and recycle it. Each chamber holds two sleeves comfortably. Do not try to fill more than this. In order to close the chamber hood, slide it back up until you hear it click. Because the hood does not have a hinge, it is important to put it back into place carefully. Slide the tongue into the slot at the back. It's best to go in at an angle and be sure that it hooks. When it's properly in place, it can be jarred and it won't fall off. However, it is possible to have it appear on but not be. In this case, it will fall off and can cause damage. So be very careful to always put it back in place carefully. The tray at the bottom of the dispenser removes easily for wiping out or it can be washed off fully. Simply replace the tray by sliding it back in and setting it in place. Next we'll talk about how to fix a jam if one happens and the cutlery is not coming out. One of the best thing you can do to first start to fix a jam is to use a gloved finger, I will be wearing gloves, and push up on the under side of the cutlery. This can cause any cutlery that might have warped to reorient itself and come out. If this doesn't work, you'll then want to remove the hood. I would be wearing gloves if I were doing this in a food service environment. You'll want to open the chamber and you're going to want to have an extra sleeve handy and you'll use the sleeve to take out all but the bottom most piece of cutlery. The bottom most piece of cutlery will sometimes have warped and that can be causing the problem. Use the extra sleeve to pull out the cutlery, remove the bottom most piece by hand, and recycle it. You can then reinsert the cutlery, close the chamber, and test. Each of the chambers on the dispenser is designed to be interchangeable should you find yourself needing all forks, all spoons, you can simply change out the chambers. Let's show you how to do that. In order to lift out the chamber, simply lift up on the tab on the back, and while you're lifting lift directly up with the chamber. In order to slide the chamber back in, you'll need to pull up on the tab on the back. Simply position the chamber and slide it back down until you hear it click.
