This Physio-Control 11403-000001 CHARGE-PAK charging unit and adult electrode pad set is the perfect companion to your LIFEPAK CR Plus or LIFEPAK EXPRESS AED! After an AED use, or about 2 years (whichever comes first) the battery charger and electrode pads on your AED need to be replaced in order to ensure proper functionality. By replacing both components at the same time, you get peace of mind that your AED will always be ready to use! Additionally, the cost of replacing the battery charger and electrode pads is often less than the cost of replacing the battery and electrode pads from other brands, delivering cost savings too! This set includes 2 adult electrode pad sets, a CHARGE-PAK charging unit, and a battery discharger to safely deplete an old CHARGE-PAK prior to disposing of it. When using the CHARGE-PAK discharger, allow nine days for the discharge process to complete before recycling or disposing of the used CHARGE-PAK.

It may take up to three days for a new CHARGE-PAK to charge a battery to readiness, if the AED was used recently (at room temperature of 68 degrees Fahrenheit). As this unit charges, the caution symbol will be visible on the Readiness Display; and when the caution symbol turns off, the device will be able to shock at least 6 times or provide 42 minutes of "on" time. Up to 2 weeks may be required to charge the battery to full capacity, and the battery may not charge at temperatures below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

A CHARGE-PAK battery charger cannot be removed from one AED and inserted into another, second AED. The battery charger becomes internally linked to the first AED into which it is inserted.
