How to Bake Cookies in Your Convection Oven

How to Bake Cookies in Your Convection Oven

• Today I am going to be making lemon sugar cookies with this quarter size Waring Convection oven. One of my favorite things to use in the kitchen are pan pals, they are silicon baking mats. I used a half size and cut it in half for this quarter sized pan. They’re nonstick, they’re reusable, so it’s a really great, inexpensive thing to have in your kitchen. I’m just going to scoop out my cookie dough, and using a disher like this helps make all the cookies uniform. I’m going to set the temperature to 325 degrees, set it to convection bake, and place my cookies in the oven. Now I’ll remove my cookies and let them cool while we get started on the glaze. To make the glaze I’m going to use juice from fresh lemons which is easy to do with our lemon squeezer. Then I’m going to add in about a pound of confection sugar and whisk it together. If your glaze is a little bit thick you can add a few drops of water. When you’re finished with your glaze, just add it to your pastry bag. For adding pretty glaze to these cookies, I used the Ateco 8 piece pastry set which is a great way to get started with some basic decorating. And here you have beautiful, freshly baked lemon sugar cookies. For any of the baking items seen in this video, check out the links below.

Customer questions about this product

How many times can I reuse this pan liner?
In most cases, these liners can be reused up to a hundred or so uses. However, please keep in mind that using any kind of very high heat or fat and oil on this liner will greatly reduce its life expectancy. To prolong its use, we recommend cleaning the liner after using with a soft cloth and Noble Chemical Sunbright Pot and Pan Dishwashing Liquid. Also avoid using abrasive or sharp materials and utensils since this could damage its PTFE coating. When your liner shows worn spots and begins to fray around the edges, discard the liner.

They are reusable, but they show grease spots after one use so I doubt they're good for as many reuses as the description says. They are nonstick though, and are better than greasing sheets or using one-time liners. Silpat mats and the like area better long-term investment though I think.

I like this mats very much. I use them to bake cookies, breads, or cream puffs. Its nice because its easy to clean and reusable. I can use them over and over. No more parchment baking paper or wax paper for me. Easy to cut to different sizes too.
If you have never baked with a pan liner, get one immediately! It makes clean up a snap and all your baked goods lift off easily with nothing stuck behind. Much more economical than parchment paper as it can be used over and over!
I absolutely LOVE these pan liners. You can reuse them over and over again without any problem. All it takes is a quick wipe down before storing them away. Very economical!
I waited to do the review on these pan pal PTFR non stick reusable half size pan liners and so far I can't find anything wrong with them. They have performed as advertised and do very well in the oven.
I was looking for something with great quality yet still affordable. And I found it! I love the non stick no mess without having to use cooking sprays or butter.
Love these reusable baking mats for baking cookies!!!! And garlic bread toast in the oven. Very versatile. Easy cleanup. Handy to fit in the baking sheet. Excellent!!!
Great nonstick reusable half-size pan liner. It's wonderful product for not only preventing your baked items from sticking to the pan but for help with keeping your pan clean and lasting a long time.
These are ok. They are much less expensive than traditional silicone liners, which is why I tried them, but they aren't quite as heavy-duty. They are thinner than silicone liners and water tends to leak around the edges when they are washed. I will continue using them until they completely break down, then spring for the silicone liners again.
This is not what I was expecting. I guess, I was thinking it would be thicker, but it is closer just a thick piece of plastic. I bought it to line pans so I could freeze preportioned cookie dough and it works great for that. But I am not sure I would trust it in the oven, though I am sure it is safe.
These are just so so. Very thin and not really what I was looking for. Think next time I will buy the silicone mats that we are familiar with.
Great mat. The "non stick" factor works great. Only issue I have is that a large crease came in it when it was delivered. Besides that, it is great.
I had no idea how I baked cookies etc before I bought this non-stick baking mat. What a great difference the way my cookies come out now. When your cookies are done I put them on the grate to let them cool down. Clean up is a breeze. Just wash and dry both sides and store. Buy more than one so you can put two cookie trays in your oven at the same time. The cost is amazing. I just wished I knew about these sooner.
We have a lot of uses for the baking mat. We use it for baking cookies and bread. They didn't stick and we just wipe or wash off and use again.
We have a lot of these baking mats. We use them when making our specialty drop cookies that tend to get too brown on the bottom when baking with parchment. These bake them up perfectly.
This is the best product. There is no longer a need for cooking sprays. I have had mine for the last 3 years and store it rolled up and never did damage to it. Works great for candy also.
I have used this to bake cookies and they did nto stick! It is almost as if I used parchment. I like it and I will reuse many times.
Effective and efficient way to non need to use greasy butters, etc. it's reusable and is actually a good way to reduce the amount of oil and butter
pan pal non - stick reusable half size baking mat. thease mats stand up well. use them every time i bake. clens up niceley.
The best reusable baking mats for the price. They wash great and last a long time. Bend a little bit in a convection ovens, but you just have to make sure to put items in sheet corners.
Very good product. Makes sense to buy these and save money vs. rolls of foil. Just wash with warm soapy water and ready to reuse! Will be purchasing again.
These non-stick reusable half size baking mats are just what the description says. Each mat stands up to frequent use. I purchased these over a year ago and use them every time I bake, using the 18 guage half sheet pans that I also purchased from the Webstaurant Store. The mats stand-up to hand washing or a home dishwasher (I do not know how they would stand-up to a commercial dishwasher). Even a simple wipe down is all that is needed on occasion, depending on my usage of the mats.
Love this item!! I made pumpkin whoopie pies, and they slid right off the non stick liner. Definitely recommend these to all the bakers out there!
I tried these because I'm tired of fighting with parchment paper but honestly didn't think I would like them. I have to say they are the best thing ever invented for baking! Everything I've baked on them comes right off the liner without a fight and it wipes clean with ease! I'm ordering some for every baker I know!
