This Watts 408-OSY-RW 2 1/2" OS&Y gate valve is designed to start and stop fluid flow in your pipelines. This outside stem and yoke (OS&Y) type valve features an epoxy-coated cast iron body. It boasts a resilient wedge disc design that allows for positive seating and resistance against high differential pressure. It provides full port flow with low head loss and is recommended for use in fire main shutoff applications and distribution services.
This unit comes with a replaceable disc, and it features 2 1/2" flanged joint inlet and outlet connections. It's operated by a cast iron handwheel and can be easily serviced without removing the valve from the line. While it's ideal for use in the fully open or closed position, it can also be used as a throttling valve. This valve has a maximum temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit and a maximum pressure of 250 PSI.
