Oreck 550MC Orbiter 12" Multi-Purpose Floor Machine - 175 RPM

I purchased this product 2 months before and used it once ( following the operating instructions) for approximately 15 Mins before it began to smoke and shut off. I contacted Webstaurant and was given a service address over 60 miles from my location. I then ask for a refund and was told by Westaurant and the manufacturer that they could not refund my money or send me a different unit. I then called and charged back my credit card purchase. I would recommend not doing business with this website or purchasing Oreck products.

It is relatively heavy, but is really easy to maneuver. We love all of the different types of heads for different surfaces. The difference is very noticeable and makes a huge difference in hard, stuck on food.

Machine worked great for about a year. Then the drive shaft sheared off. It *may* be covered under warranty, but there isn't a place to get it repaired within 300 miles of me (Central Texas). So I have to pay to ship the whole machine off to a regional center and *hope* that the drive shaft counts as part of the engine. They can't tell you over the phone whether or not it will fall under the 5 year motor warranty. So put down $50 or so to ship this beast and cross my fingers. I would not buy this again with this knowledge.

This is a MUST BUY!!!!! For any restaurant / facility. All those labor hours wasted on deck scrubbing will be earned back with this machine! You must by this machine!! We use it in a 1,500 sqft kitchen twice a day. It literally takes 20 mins to do the whole floor and a quick 5 mins to do the line between shifts. It will clean better than employee. You will save $1,000's on labor and your closing staff will be so happy they wont have to deck scrub using old school brushes. Trust me this is a MUST BUY!

This is a great machine for not only polishing hardwood floors with wax but it works great for scrubbing the kitchen floor instead of using deck brushes!

It worked great in the small stall spaces of the restroom that we needed it for.

I just got this machine, and was immediately struck by the overall quality. I cleaned 800 square feet of ceramic tile today with a brush attachment and was VERY happy with the results. The machine is very quiet, and can be used under control with one hand! The tile and the grout lines are as good as new. Beyond the tile cleaning, I did a light-spray cleaning using the same pad of a wood floor, and it got into the cracks as described. I was very happy to learn that there are sanding pads for this machine. Now I plan on sanding the wooden floors with it prior to refinishing. I wish I had had one of these prior to the initial finishing! I'll post a video of cleaning the barn and garage floors, as well as the wood floor sanding procedure. Oh --- the pad came via a separate shipment, which was kinda messed up. Customer service was very helpful, essentially immediately responsive, and followed up to make sure everything worked out. Thank you!

For less than $300 you can scrub, clean, strip, or wax your floors. It has many attachments you can buy separately but are not included.

Does the job well. Ordered this for a high school janitor, and he reports it making his job of cleaning the floors a lot easier for him. Thanks always.

like the other gentleman stated, mine too smoked like crazy after just 5 minutes use, and shut down. I was fortunate to have a local authorized service center just 5 miles away. took a week to have new motor and thermal switch replaced. been using this machine every day since and works like a charm. Oreck products are great and have been using them for decades! have also been a regular customer of webstaurant store for years and have never been unhappy.

Floor Machine does a really nice job on our tile floors. It's light weight enough to be able to handle it without too much effort. floors look great was just what my husband was looking for.

I love this Oreck 550MC Orbiter Multi-Purpose Floor Machine, the size is good to use it everywhere and is not too heavy. The only thing that it miss is some wheel to move and transport it.

This is a great machine for pre scrubbing carpets. It is very lightweight and sturdy. This machine meets all my expectations. I give it 5 stars.

We have slate floors in the cafe and they get very dirty after the sealant wears out. The Floor machine allows me to clean at my leisure without worrying about renting one and finishing in one day. I bought the plastic orange scrubber brush attachment to do the slate and it has worked well. I did need to have someone else mopping behind me with clean water to sop up the grime it gets up.
