This exit sign with its ultra bright, energy efficient, red illuminated lettering, long-lasting LED lamp life, and thin design allows you to be sure your emergency exits are always easy to find. And since it has a battery backup, the sign will stay illuminated for up to 90 minutes even after the power goes out!

The 4.8V NiCad battery backup is designed for a long, maintenance-free lifespan. It features an internal solid-state transfer switch that automatically connects the internal battery to the LED lights in case the power goes out. After the battery is used, the automatic two-rate charger initiates the charging process to ensure the battery is fully recharged within 24 hours.

This model is completely self-contained for efficient, professional installation and safe operation. Each exit sign features a sleek, compact, low-profile design with a neutral finish that fits well in most venues. Field selectable knockout chevron indicators let you choose which direction the sign should point. The housing is made of durable black die cast aluminum and an aluminum canopy comes with this emergency sign so that it can be mounted either from the top or the end. It has a universal K/O pattern on the back plate for convenient wall mounting, too.

The long-lasting LED lights in this exit sign last for years, so you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs frequently. Other features of this exit sign include a charge rate / power "ON" LED indicator light and a push-to-test switch so you can be sure the sign is operating properly and complies with local codes. It also features a quick-snap face plate closure.

This unit is even approved for use in damp locations like storage rooms and back of the house areas! It requires a 120V or 277V electrical connection for operation. This unit's overall input wattage is 3.8W for a 120V electrical connection or 4.4W for a 277V connection.
