Be prepared with this Lavex single face white New York City approved exit sign and emergency light combination with red lettering and a battery backup! It offers both a large, lighted exit sign and a two or three head emergency light array, all in one unit so that you do not have to worry about purchasing multiple units. Plus, it comes with a battery backup so that even if the power goes out your emergency exits will still be clearly visible.

This model comes with two fully-adjustable 12W, glare free incandescent lamp heads already installed and includes a third that you can install yourself if you need it! These lamps are in addition to the energy efficient, ultra-bright colored LED lights that illuminate the word "EXIT" on the sign's face. With the 8" tall letters on the face of this sign, it is approved for use in the City of New York.

To make sure that the light keeps working even when the power is out, this unit comes with a 6V maintenance-free, rechargeable sealed lead acid battery. Inside the unit is a fully automatic charger that keeps the battery charged and ready to use. Plus, there is a charge rate and power on LED indicator light with a test button on the unit so that you can periodically check that it is functioning properly. There is an internal solid state transfer switch that automatically connects the internal battery to the lights for a minimum of 90 minutes of emergency illumination during a power outage. A low voltage disconnect prevents a deep battery discharge to protect the battery from damage. Once the battery has been discharged, the system recharges it within 24 hours.

This exit sign features a 20 gauge powder-coated steel construction that can stand up to harsh environments and an injection-molded, flame-retardant thermoplastic housing with field selectable chevron indicators so that you can choose the direction in which your new exit sign points. The back surface comes prepared for wall mounting and features top and side knockouts. This unit requires a 120/277V electrical connection for operation and is approved for use in damp locations. This model's overall wattage is 12.7W for a 120V connection or 14.3W for a 277V connection.
