Jean Dubost Laguiole 2262 BX Details
Add some excitement to the act of opening champagne bottles with this Laguiole 16 3/8" champagne saber with ebony handle! To use, first make sure the foil wrapper and wire cage have been removed from the bottle. Keep a firm grasp on the base of the bottle and be sure that it is pointed in a clear direction at a 45 degree angle to avoid spilling contents. After locating the vertical seam that runs up the side of the bottle, hold this saber flat against the bottle and draw the saber backwards along the seam toward yourself slowly and carefully. With firm and quick precision, thrust it back toward the lip of the bottle at a slight angle and the bottle will pop open! Take heed that to avoid any accidents, this champagne saber should only be used by an experienced person with training.
This saber pops the corks off of champagne bottles in a grand way that harkens back to the method of opening bottles in a dramatic, victorious fashion. Today, this saber offers a traditional and festive way to uncork bottles of champagne. Featuring an inlaid ebony handle with a brass bolster, this saber has a blunt stainless steel blade. Additionally, this item comes with a wooden box for proper storage of the saber when not in use. This saber is perfect for celebrations and parties as a flashy and fun alternative to the usual method of popping champagne bottles.
