It can be used to quickly freeze copper, steel, aluminum, and cast iron pipes ranging from 1/8" to 2" in diameter, and it's simple to use. Attach the freeze head around the pipe, connect the hose, and open the cylinder valve. It's that easy! Once in place, liquid carbon dioxide flows into the freeze head and forms a dry ice pack of -110 degrees Fahrenheit that can withstand up to 7,000 PSI. This pipe freezing kit enables you to get to work on repairs in as little as 5 minutes for 1/2" copper tubing and 3 minutes for cast iron pipe.

This kit is faster and less expensive than electrical freezing units, and by creating a tighter seal around the pipe, it is conveniently more efficient than bag-type CO2 units. It uses environmentally safe and commercially available carbon dioxide (CO2). The best part is that the Cold-Shot does not require you to drain the lines before use, and it allows your fully-pressurized system to remain in operation while the repairs are made.
